O Father of all beginnings,
You who breathe laughter into dust
and call every heart back to its first joy —
teach me again to be Your child.
Strip from me the armor of the grown,
the heavy robes of worry and pride.
Take away the cleverness that darkens wonder,
and the fear that calls itself wisdom.
Let me stand small before You,
unashamed of needing You.
Let my prayers be short and honest,
like a child’s questions in the sunlight.
Teach me to love without measure,
to forgive before memory forms its walls,
to trust before the shadow of tomorrow falls.
Let my faith be simple — not blind, but bright.
When I am tired of the world’s seriousness,
whisper to me of Your Kingdom
where the streets echo with laughter,
and angels delight in simple songs.
There no one grows old,
no one owns or envies,
and every face shines with the same light —
the light of Your smile reflected in countless eyes.
O Father, keep alive in me
the holy foolishness that believes in good,
the open hands that find wonder in everything,
and the heart that never outgrows Your embrace.
When I forget, remind me
that Heaven is near —
as near as the trust of a child
resting in Your arms.
Amen.
